Thanks to your kind support, we are celebrating our 74th anniversary. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued understanding and cooperation in our business activities.

Amidst the recent experience of new infectious diseases and changes in work methods, the market environment continues to be difficult due to uncertainty over the supply of parts and raw materials, natural resource prices, and soaring transportation costs, as well as other factors. Under such circumstances, we are conscious of our responsibility to society and will further refine our “unique and interesting surface treatment technology,” make bold changes to our business structure in order to become a company that lasts for 100 years, and reform the image of the surface treatment industry with environmental protection as our top priority. In particular, we will promote the development of human- and environment-friendly products with an awareness of sustainability, and implement 5R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, Repair) and carbon negative initiatives.

The automotive industry, in which we are most deeply involved, is undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation, particularly in certain areas of vehicle electrification aimed at decarbonization. These trends are not limited to simply replacing the internal combustion engine (fossil fuel) with the motor (electricity), but are expected to affect all aspects of our lives through innovations in peripheral technologies. We recognize that it is essential for us to keep up with the wave of technological innovation and to examine how we can make the best use of our surface treatment technology. Rather than sticking to existing frameworks, we are aware of changes in the market environment, and we will rapidly embrace the challenge of “interesting manufacturing” with our surface treatment technology at the core, in order to be a vital part of future society.

In addition, our awareness of the environment is undergoing a major transformation, and we are committed to coexisting with the environment and society by taking on the challenges of reducing CO₂ emissions and improving energy efficiency to help solve global environmental issues. We will also promote diversity management to embrace diversity and strengthen governance to earn the trust of all stakeholders. To fulfill our corporate social responsibility, we will strive to enhance our corporate value through “ESG Management” (Environment, Social, and Governance).
